Milling wheat accounts for 60% of Ukraine's 2021 wheat harvest -minister

KYIV, Sept 25 (Reuters) - The share of milling wheat in Ukraine's 2021 wheat harvest stood at 60%, almost the same as in 2020, agriculture minister Roman Leshchenko was quoted as saying on Saturday.

The ministry this week said farms had completed the 2021 wheat harvest, threshing 33 million tonnes versus 25 million in 2020.

Leshchenko said on Friday the ministry had increased its forecast for wheat exports in the 2021/22 July-June season to 24.4 million tonnes from a previous estimate of 23.8 million.

Ukraine exported 16.6 million tonnes of wheat in 2020/21. (Reporting by Pavel Polityuk; editing by Jason Neely)
