TABLE-Russia's 2017 grain harvest progress as of Oct 5

MOSCOW, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Russia, a major global wheat
exporter, had harvested 127.6 million tonnes of grain before
drying and cleaning with an average yield of 3.00 tonnes per
hectare from 90.3 percent of the total area as of October 5,
Agriculture Ministry data showed on Friday.
That compares to the 112.3 million tonnes harvested with an
average yield of 2.60 tonnes by the same date a year earlier,
the ministry said.

Farmers have also sown winter grains for next year's crop on
81.5 percent of the planned area, or on 14.2 million hectares,
compared with 11.9 million hectares on the same date a year ago,
the ministry said.
Russian farmers plan to sow winter grains on 17.5 million
hectares in total, according to the ministry, compared with 17.4
million hectares a year ago.
