KIEV, May 16 (Reuters) - Ukraine's grain exports have risen to 44.4 million tonnes so far in the 2018/19 season from 35.3 million tonnes at the same point last season, the agriculture ministry said on Thursday.

Ukraine said it harvested a record 70 million tonnes of grain last year, up from about 61 million in 2017.

Exports could rise to about 49 million tonnes in the season that ends in June from 39.4 million the previous season, the ministry said.

Ukraine had exported almost 25.6 million tonnes of corn and 14.6 million tonnes of wheat as of May 15, it said.
