Ukraine bans Russian wheat, sunoil

KYIV, March 31 (Reuters) - Ukraine, the world's largest exporter of sunflower oil and net exporter of wheat, will ban imports of these commodities from neighbour Russia, the government said in a resolution published on Wednesday.

The government also banned Russian imports of paper and detergents.

Ukraine has not imported wheat from Russia in several years, according to APK-Inform agriculture consultancy.

The resolution was approved on March 29 and will come in forces in 10 days.

Russia and Ukraine have been at loggerheads since 2014 when Moscow annexed Ukraine's Crimean peninsula and backed pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine. (Reporting by Natalia Zinets, writing by Pavel Polityuk; editing by Jason Neely)
