KIEV, March 11 (Reuters) - Ukraine's grain exports are up around 24.5% at 42.3 million tonnes so far in the July 2019 to June 2020 season, the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture said on Wednesday.

Wheat exports have risen to 16.8 million tonnes, the ministry said in a statement, adding Ukraine has exported about 4 million tonnes of barley and 20.9 million tonnes of corn.

The country harvested a record 75.1 million tonnes of grain in 2019, compared with 70 million tonnes in 2018.

Deputy minister Taras Vysotskiy said this month Ukraine could export a record 52-55 million tonnes of grain this season, including 19-20 million tonnes of wheat.

Next 2010/21 season, he said, Ukraine may harvest 65-70 million tonnes of grain and export around 40 million tonnes. (Reporting by Pavel Polityuk, editing by Louise Heavens)
