Ukraine's Feb 2-8 sea port grain exports down wk/wk

KIEV, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Ukrainian grain exports from sea ports in the week of Feb. 2-8 fell to 886,000 tonnes from 932,000 tonnes a week earlier, the APK-Inform consultancy said on Monday.

It said corn exports increased to 702,000 tonnes from 693,000 tonnes while wheat shipments fell to 179,000 tonnes from 238,000 tonnes.

Ukraine sent its grain mostly to Spain, Netherlands and Egypt.

APK-Inform said Ukraine has exported 24.8 million tonnes of wheat, corn and barley so far this season which runs from July to June. The exports stood at 21.4 million tonnes in the same period in 2017/18.

This season's exports include 12.2 million tonnes of corn, 9.8 million tonnes of wheat and 2.7 million tonnes of barley.

Ukraine harvested a record 70 million tonnes of grain this year and expects to export 47.2 million tonnes in the 2018/19 July-June season. (Reporting by Pavel Polityuk; editing by Jason Neely)
