U.S. says no weekly agriculture export sales data until Sept 15

Aug 31 (Reuters) - The U.S. Agriculture Department's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) on Wednesday said it would not publish weekly export sales data until Thursday, Sept. 15 at the earliest.

On Aug. 25, the USDA retracted weekly commodities export data it had released earlier on the day after a technical misstep with a new system left traders scrambling and caused uncertainty in the futures markets.

The agency said it will revert to the "legacy system while we work to fully resolve the issues with the new system." (Reporting by Seher Dareen in Bengaluru and Tom Polansek in Chicago; Editing by Chris Reese)
