funding measure to avert a government shutdown before a midnight
deadline on Thursday, technically triggering the start of a

JOHANNESBURG, Feb 9 (Reuters) - South Africa's Pioneer Food
Group reported on Friday a 2.4 percent drop in turnover
for the three months ended December, largely due to sales price
deflation in soft commodities.
"Maize price realisation contracted materially with wheaten

SINGAPORE, Feb 9 (Reuters) - A flour miller in Indonesia
bought 50,000 tonnes of Black Sea-origin wheat this week for
shipment in March, two traders said.
The deal for wheat with 11.5 percent protein was signed at
$225 a tonne, including cost and freight.
Flour mills in Asia are seeking Black Sea wheat for
shipments in March-April, typically the peak marketing season
for the Australian crop, because of ample global supplies and
