MOSCOW, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov
said on Friday that Russian businessmen were welcome to raise
their concerns about a U.S. report on people close to the
Kremlin with President Vladimir Putin at a meeting later on
Peskov told reporters on a conference call that the
so-called "oligarch list" could hardly be called positive.

CAPE TOWN, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Poor rains and crop
infestations in southern Africa are threatening deeper hunger
across the region, with millions of people, particularly
children, at risk, the UN's World Food Programme (WFP) said on
"Given that the region has barely emerged from three years
of very damaging El Nino-induced drought, this is a particularly
cruel blow," Brian Bogart, WFP's regional programme advisor,
said in a statement.

MILWAUKEE/CHICAGO, Feb 9 (Reuters) - A major winter storm
pounding the U.S. Midwest on Friday forced cancellation of
hundreds of flights as heavy snow and plummeting temperatures
threatened to bring travel to a standstill across the region.
Corn futures and soybean futures were lower in overnight trading.
HELSINKI, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Finnish oil refiner and biofuel
producer Neste expects the reinstatement of the
renewable fuel tax credit in the United States to increase its
first quarter profit, the company said on Friday.
The retroactive approval of the 2017 biodiesel credit was
part of the budget deal approved by the U.S. Senate and House of
Representatives, averting a government shutdown.
Neste did not disclose a number for the profit boost, but
said it would be "somewhat lower than in the full year 2016".
Feb 9 (Reuters) - One of the worst flu outbreaks in the
United States in nearly a decade worsened last week and will
likely linger for several weeks, causing more deaths, the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday.
Another 10 children were reported to have died of the flu in
the week ending Feb. 3, bringing the total infant mortality so
far this season to 63, Dr. Anne Schuchat, the CDC's acting
director, told reporters. The CDC does not require national
reporting of flu deaths in adults.
