Commodity Classic 2018: Grow Beyond

Find big ideas at the nation's largest farmer-led, farmer-focused convention and trade show.

Explore emerging innovations and groundbreaking products that may change the way you farm at the 2018 Commodity Classic in Anaheim, California. From February 27 to March 1, you can be among thousands of leading farmers from across the nation who share your passion for agriculture.

Created by farmers, for farmers, the event hosts educational sessions and presentations to help you get the answers, information, and inspiration you’re looking for. The Commodity Classic Trade Show offers a showcase of hundreds of booths from the nation’s top farmers and ag companies. You’ll get a firsthand look at the latest equipment, converse with leading agribusiness companies, and grow your own knowledge. The trade show is also home to the Commodity Classic Main Stage, where speakers share more insights via educational sessions.

The Commodity Classic Main Stage, presented by Successful Farming®, will feature panel discussions, ag showcases, and expert speakers including radio and TV hosts The Hefty Brothers; Marji Guyler-Alaniz, founder of FarmHer; and editors from Successful Farming magazine. Main Stage sessions start on Tuesday afternoon and continue throughout the show.

Get some down-to-earth advice from The Hefty Brothers’ keynote presentation on keeping fields weed-free and clean for less money in 2018. Later, they’ll share “What Your Fertilizer Dealer Won’t Tell You” and help you understand soil and plant tissue tests.

Successful Farming magazine editors will host multiple sessions, with advice from Al Kluis, columnist and commodity marketing expert; Dave Mowitz, executive editor of machinery and technology; and SF Engine Man Ray Bohacz.

Kluis will take the stage twice: first to look back at 2017 markets and present his corn and soybean price outlook for 2018, and then to go over putting together a successful marketing plan for your crops. Mowitz will offer some key design features of farm shops and tips on shop design – plus renovation recommendations for your own shop.

In an exciting return to the Main Stage, Marji Guyler-Alaniz will share her story of inspiration and passion for FarmHer, and will tell of the strong and innovative women she has met throughout her journey.

In Anaheim, you’ll gain the insight, education, and innovation you need to grow beyond and prepare for success. With hands-on experience, new technology, and thought-provoking speakers, Commodity Classic will help you “Grow Beyond” in 2018.

Schedule change: On Thursday at 10:45 a.m., Secretary of Ag Sonny Perdue will be speaking on the Main Stage.
