Drought Conditions Push Corn Yields Down for Kansas Farmer

Irrigated corn in Kansas has taken a yield hit.

Corn yields in the drought-stricken area of central Kansas are expectedly disappointing.

On Friday, conducted a Facebook Livestream of corn harvesting with David Wood, a Belpre, Kansas, farmer.

With 14% of the U.S. corn producing area experiencing a drought, including central Kansas, Wood is seeing the result of a lack of moisture with below-average yields on his sandy soils.
