USDA: Corn Rating Remains Unchanged for Third Week in a Row
DES MOINES, Iowa -- U.S. corn and soybean good/excellent ratings remain unchanged from a week ago.
The trade had expected the ratings to stay equal to a week ago.
On Monday, the USDA Crop Progress Report pegged the U.S. corn crop as 72% good/excellent, unchanged from a week ago.
USDA pegged 91% of the corn crop as being in the silk stage vs. an 82% five-year average.
Also, 38% of the corn has entered the dough stage compared with a 20% five-year average.
In its report, USDA pegged the U.S. soybean crop condition at 70% good/excellent, equal to a week ago of 70%.
USDA rated 60% of the soybean crop as setting pods vs. a 41% five-year average.
USDA reported that 85% of the U.S. wheat wheat is harvested vs. an 86% five-year average.
