USDA: U.S. Soybean Harvest 93% Complete
DES MOINES, Iowa -- On Monday, the USDA pegged the U.S. soybean and corn harvest activities are closing in on final percentages, ahead of averages.
In its weekly Crop Progress Report Monday, the USDA pegged the U.S. soybean crop as 93% harvested, compared with a 91% five-year average, and within the trade’s expectations.
For corn, USDA sees the crop 86% harvested, compared with a 85% five-year average and a trade expectation of 85% to 90%.
Illinois, at 94% harvested, has the fastest major corn-producing Midwest state pace. Iowa’s pace is 86%, Indiana 87%, Minnesota 86%, and Nebraska 86%. See the state-by-state corn harvest progress here.
