Lely North America launches new teat spray
Lely North America has launched the Quaress Omnia teat spray. Designed for teat disinfection, protection, and conditioning, this affordable teat spray is only available in the U.S. A non-iodine concentrate, Quaress Omnia can be used in all milking systems. It is applied as a post-milking teat spray if used with the Lely Astronaut A5 robotic milking system.
“Dairy producers benefit from the Lely Quaress Omnia teat spray because of its fast kill of mastitis-causing pathogens and blend of emollients for teat skin protection,” says Steve Kraft, aftermarket field support manager, Lely North America. “Because this product is a concentrate, it is a more economical option as far as cost per gallon and ultimately means less waste.”
With its proven high microbiocidal efficacy, Quaress Omnia improves udder health. The solution has a swift kill of 99.99% for mastitis-causing pathogens, including S. aureus, E. coli, Pseudomonas, S. dysgalactiae, S. agalactiae, S. uberis, K. pneumoniae, and E. aerogenes. Unlike products that contain iodine or chlorhexidine, Quaress Omnia poses no risk for adverse chemicals becoming residuals in milk. It also delivers a 15-second kill for wild strains of S. aureus, which is three times faster than competitive iodine treatments.
Quaress Omnia’s 8% conditioning blend of emollients contains organic acids, including pelargonic acid, lactic acid, and dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid. The formula's natural components condition, exfoliate, hydrate, and protect the udder for smooth, soft skin and improve a cow's overall health.
