2018 Hagie STS and DTS Sprayers Include New Features

New for 2018, Hagie’s STS machines will be powered with the John Deere PowerTech PSS 9.0-L diesel engine. Available in Final Tier 4 configuration, this power plant offers 300 hp. on the STS14 and 375 hp. on the STS16. These air-to-air aspirated engines deliver consistent power over a wide range of engine speeds, with a power bulge-rated speed to provide excellent torque in demanding applications.

When coupled with the new high-performance cooling package, these engines deliver improved fuel efficiency on the STS14 and STS16 units. The new engine is housed under a redesigned front hood, which includes an integrated toolbox and air intake scoop. To improve machine access, the right side of the chassis has new fuel and diesel-exhaust fluid (DEF) tanks, as well as a fuel fill ladder and platform.

John Deere Components Integrated

Hagie owners now have three factory-installed precision ag platforms to choose from: John Deere, Raven, or Ag Leader. If you order a machine with John Deere precision, the package will include the GreenStar 2630 display, StarFire 6000 receiver, John Deere Rate Controller 2000, and JDLink wireless system/modular telematics gateway.

Other enhancements include a newly designed 120-foot boom for the STS sprayer series. The design combines two materials in order to equip you with a durable and lightweight solution, which folds at 60 feet. The center and inner wing sections get their strength by utilizing steel, while beyond the first fold, the boom is made of aluminum. In addition, the top C-channel design routes solution plumbing, electronics, and hydraulics out of your view.

The NORAC active wing roll is also available on the 120-foot boom model. Designed for inconsistent and challenging terrain, the active wing roll ensures smooth independent control of each wing while maintaining its preset height above the ground or crop.
