Calling All Early-Stage Start-Ups!
For a second year, World Agri-Tech is partnering with Radicle Growth, a San Diego-based accelerator fund, to host a Pitch Day. This presummit event will take place on Monday, March 18, 2019, prior to the start of the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit (March 19 to 20, 2019, in San Francisco, California).
Who Should Enter?
Event coordinators are looking for ag tech and food tech early-stage start-ups from around the globe, especially entrepreneurs offering technology in automation, big data/artificial intelligence, biologicals, fintech, foodtech, IoT, robotics, seed, and genomics.
In order to be eligible for consideration, a start-up should have received a minimum of $100,000 in investment capital or have gone through a recognized seed accelerator program. Applications will be reviewed by the investment committee, who may request additional details before final selections are made.
Eight start-ups will be selected to showcase their solutions to an audience of high-ranking investors and agribusiness leaders as well as Radicle Growth management and its judging panel at the Pitch Day. In addition, each of the finalists will receive a complimentary delegate pass for the World Agri-Tech Summit to maximize their networking and learning opportunities.
The winner, who will receive a $250,000 investment from Radicle Growth, will be announced at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. The winning start-up will also present to the audience of 1,000-plus senior international agribusiness executives and VC investors in the plenary session of the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
The deadline for ag tech and food tech companies to enter is Friday, December 21. To learn more, visit worldagritechusa.com/radicle-challenge.
