Kubota, Smart Path Align to Offer Precision Guidance Technology

Kubota Tractor Corporation and Smart Path Systems have entered into an alliance that will equip specific Kubota machinery with precision guidance technology. The Smart Path products will be available through certain Kubota dealerships nationwide for Kubota M, L, and B-Series tractors; F-Series mowers; and utility vehicles.

“Kubota is the first to bring this level of technology to the market segment. Applying Smart Path’s precision guidance technology to Kubota equipment furthers our commitment to continuous improvement,” says Todd Stucke, Kubota senior vice president of marketing, product support, and strategic projects. “We give our customers the tools they need to get their work done more efficiently and effectively, and this alliance will give our customers access to advanced technology that will further enhance their user experience and make them more productive and more profitable.”

Autonomously steer Kubota equipment with greater precision when mowing or spraying by using dual GPS antennas for sub-inch accuracy, an easy-to-use Android tablet interface, and live satellite map feeds accessed through a Web portal management system. Assign, track, and manage operators and equipment from an easy-to-use website.

Operators can choose to either take a predetermined path created in the Web portal management system or record their own path. This record-and-replay approach is ideal for spraying along fence rows or cracks or for repeat mowing by a less experienced operator. According to Smart Path, users have experienced a 20% increase in time savings or productivity gain with this technology.

“Creating an alliance with Kubota was the next big step for Smart Path’s leadership position in precision guidance for grounds maintenance and horticulture,” says Steve Booher, CEO of Smart Path Systems. “Our technology will increase productivity, improve efficiencies and, most importantly, provide significant labor savings for Kubota customers.”

Starting in February 2017, Smart Path Systems will be available at select Kubota dealerships.
