Lindsay, Farmers Edge to connect, digitize 2 million irrigated acres by end of 2021
Lindsay Corporation and Farmers Edge have announced a plan to connect and digitize 2 million irrigated acres by the end of 2021. By integrating their digital platforms, the companies will provide growers and dealers with a fully connected crop management solution that will enable growers to make more informed water management decisions to optimize applications and yield potential. In addition, the partnership will focus on a collaboration in data science, machine learning, and AI-driven analytics to deliver highly precise water-based insights and predictive models.

As part of the initiative, Farmers Edge will provide Lindsay access to both high-resolution satellite imagery and its field-centric dataset. Syncing Lindsay’s FieldNET Advisor with FarmCommand by Farmers Edge creates the opportunity for growers to access digital tools that deliver real-time information to control pivots and monitor crop health, along with advanced predictive models to help identify issues like seeding or application errors, tile drainage, weather damage, pests, and disease.
Farmers Edge will also provide Lindsay’s FieldNET Pivot Watch and FieldNET Advisor to help growers better understand when, where, and how much to irrigate.

The enhanced platform will be available to new and existing Farmers Edge and Lindsay growers through the Farmers Edge sales network and the Zimmatic dealer network.
