Raven Unveils Connected Workflow Solutions for Ag Retailers

In an effort to help ag retailers become more efficient, as well as more profitable, in their custom application services, Raven Industries, Inc. is expanding its logistics and control offering. With Connected Workflow, which includes AgSync, Slingshot, and Viper 4+ software and hardware, users can seamlessly and wirelessly connect between the office and the field.

The new offering lets retailers link workflow to better manage key performance indicators like work, idle, and transit times in real time. There are myriad ways Connected Workflow can help retailers improve efficiency including better equipment utilization, more acres spread per available day, quicker and more accurate billing, fewer application complaints, automated recordkeeping, and a more consistent customer experience. By simplifying planning and work order generation, field application, and invoice creation, users gain an average of 20% in operational efficiency.

AgSync Acquisition

With the recent acquisition of AgSync, the new capabilities complement Raven’s Slingshot and Viper technologies. By combining the platforms, a front-end and back-end connection is created to the retailer’s current operating and agronomy systems for a closed-loop, integrated portfolio of services. In addition, Connected Workflow can operate as a stand-alone or can plug into existing systems as needed via the APIs or custom software integrations.

“We’re excited to announce advancements in Raven’s Connected Workflow solutions,” says Paul Welbig, director of Slingshot services + logistics for Raven Applied Technology. “Progressive retailers need to look for innovative ways to enhance efficiency and profitability, as making significant margin on many of the traditional crop input products is getting more difficult. The simplicity and connectivity of our platform quickly give retailers more control of their technology and does not require them to sell added value to their grower customers to reap real benefits for their business.”

Regardless of the size or number of locations, Connected Workflow creates more visibility, control, and accuracy of all functions across an entire operation. To learn more about Raven’s Connected Workflow solutions, visit
