ProTrakker Innovations Keep Implements on Track

Keeping implements on track just got easier with the latest innovations from ProTrakker.

The Odebolt, Iowa, manufacturer has designed the 500DB Hydraulic Hitch to handle higher horsepower equipment. With 30-plus inches of swing, this unit delivers control on extreme sidehills or contours. An added feature, which is new to this model, is its hitch height adjustment capability, which makes the 500DB even more adaptable to larger planters and strip-till rigs. The hitch can be universally mounted on nearly all tractor drawbars with five high-strength bolts. The suggested retail price starts at $7,900.

“When it comes to working with producers, we look at each individual operation and find ways to develop solutions that fit specific needs,” says Cory Miller, ProTrakker president. “The 500DB is one more option that provides precision and accuracy in attaining implement guidance goals, whether it be nutrient placement, seed placement, or controlling crop damage. You also have the ability to choose a GPS-active implement guidance system or sidehill sensor options.”

Easy installation
The new DB Easy Change Drawbar accessory, which lists for $1,350, was developed to make the installation process even easier. This accessory allows you to install the hydraulic hitch by simply removing a pin. The DB Easy Change Drawbar is also interchangeable, which means it can be used with any of the ProTrakker DB Hydraulic Hitch models.

“Stability and repeatability have been proven to improve yields by 15 to 20 bushels per acre, save you up to 8% in input costs, and give you implement control that dramatically increases germination and growth,” Miller explains.

“We are seeing powerful results. The feedback from our customers is that ProTrakker implement guidance systems are not only helping improve profitability but also are assisting with soil conservation through maximizing the benefits of strip-till and no-till production,” Miller says.
