Agronomy Tip: Combine yield map and soil compaction data

“It’s great to have information, it’s great to collect field data, but it doesn’t have a lot of power unless we find a way to use it,” says Matthew Nelson, Channel technical agronomist.

To get the most actionable insights out of the data you collect, Matt Nelson recommends pairing a yield map with a record of soil penetrometer data. You could then determine if soil compaction is one of the factors contributing to the lower yields.
